Managing Archive Content
The Archive is a container for archived content items. You can restore or permanently delete archived items.
Important: Reassign or archive all users, content items, or subdepartments before you delete a department. Any remaining users will be moved to an “Unassigned” department. Content items linked to a deleted department will be moved to “Unfiled” in Search and Browse if no other department is listed.
Restore or Delete Archive Content
- Click Settings & Tools > Tools, and then click Archive.
- Select an item type from the available list, and then click OK.
- (Optional) In the Details column, click View to read information about the item, such as the name and job title of the user who archived the item, and then click Close.
- Select an item in the list, and do one of the following:
- Click Restore or for more than one item, click Restore Selected.
Note: Some item types do not have the Restore Selected option and require you to restore them individually.
- Click Delete Selected, click Yes to confirm, and then click OK.
Note: You can select items to delete individually, or you can select the check box in the first column header to delete all items.
- Click Restore or for more than one item, click Restore Selected.
