Managing Archive Content

The Archive is a container for archived content items. You can restore or permanently delete archived items.

Important: Reassign or archive all users, content items, or subdepartments before you delete a department. Any remaining users will be moved to an “Unassigned” department. Content items linked to a deleted department will be moved to “Unfiled” in Search and Browse if no other department is listed.

Restore or Delete Archive Content

  1. Click Settings & Tools > Tools, and then click Archive.
  2. Select an item type from the available list, and then click OK.
  3. (Optional) In the Details column, click View to read information about the item, such as the name and job title of the user who archived the item, and then click Close.
  4. Select an item in the list, and do one of the following:
    • Click Restore or for more than one item, click Restore Selected.

      Note: Some item types do not have the Restore Selected option and require you to restore them individually.

    • Click Delete Selected, click Yes to confirm, and then click OK.

      Note: You can select items to delete individually, or you can select the check box in the first column header to delete all items.
