Restoring a Backup

You can restore a Policy & Procedure Management database backup using the Database Manager.

Note: If Policy & Procedure Management is hosted by NAVEX, you need to contact NAVEX Customer Support by submitting a request in the Community to request a restore of the database backup.

  1. Click Settings & Tools > Tools, and then click Database Manager.

    Important: It is important to back up the database in its current state before restoring an older backup. For detailed instructions, see Backing Up a Database.

  2. Click Restore Backup.
  3. For the backup you want to restore, click Restore, click Yes to confirm , and then click Yes again to clear the message.
  4. When the database is completely restored, the login window displays. Log in as you normally would.

    Important: Backups using Microsoft SQL Server (.bak files) cannot be restored with the Restore Backup feature in Policy & Procedure Management. If you should need to have this type of backup restored, contact NAVEX Customer Support by submitting a request in the Community for assistance.
