About Security Levels
Security levels allow you to restrict who can work with, view, or search the contents of an item. You assign content items a security level in the Security step of the Properties Wizard. You can view the setting in the Security tab of the Overview.
Note: If you assign a document or assessment the Restricted - High or Restricted - Severe security level, you can allow other users who are not assigned to this item to access it as if they were assigned to it.
The table below lists the security level and a description of its characteristics.

Restricted - High | Yes | No | Only users specifically assigned to one or more workflow statuses of the content item have access to it. They can also access the item in any workflow status except archived. | A user assigned as a document's approver can see that document while it is in the Draft, Collaboration, Review, Approval, Pending, and Published statuses. |

Visitors can view an item with this security level from the Public Site when it is published. Users can view an item with this security level in the workflow stage they have permission to view. Assessments and campaigns cannot be set to the Public security level. Note: This option is available only with the Public Viewer advanced feature module.
