Removing a Link
You can remove a link from a Word document that was placed there by using the PolicyTech Tools Add-In.
Remove a Link and Leave the Text
To remove a field property link or web address link and leave the text, right-click anywhere within the link, and then click Remove Link.
Remove a Link and the Text
To entirely remove the field property or link—remove both the link and the link text—do any of one of the following:
- Select the entire link, and then press Delete or Backspace.
- Place the cursor immediately before the first letter in the link text, press Delete to select the entire field, and then press Delete again to delete the field.
- Place the cursor immediately after the last letter in the link text, press Backspace to select the entire field, and then press Backspace again to delete the field.
Note: If you place the cursor anywhere inside the field instead of before or after it, pressing Delete or Backspace will delete a character in the field or link text instead of selecting it.
