About the Writer, Reviewer, and Approver Status Pages of the Overview
You can use the Writer, Reviewer, and Approver Status pages of the Overview to check the status of users assigned to the document or assessment. If a user finished an action and typed comments when doing so, you can click that user's name to see their comments in the Tasks Details pane.
In the Legend pane, a status icon appears before each assigned user's name. The table below lists the status icon and a description of each icon.
| Status Icon | Description |
|---|---|
Indicates the assigned writer has finished writing the document/assessment, or the assigned reviewer or approver has accepted the document/assessment as it is. |
Indicates the assigned reviewer or approver has either revised or declined the document/assessment. |
Indicates the assigned writer, reviewer, or approver has not completed the task despite notification about the task that needs to be complete. For example, you would see this icon for an approver in the Approver Status page if the item were currently in the Approval workflow status and the user has not finished reviewing it. |
Indicates the assigned writer, reviewer, or approver did not complete the assigned task before the document/assessment moved to another workflow status. For example, while an item is in Collaboration status, the document owner clicks Submit for Review before one of the writers clicks Finished Writing. The document/assessment is moved to Review status, and the Skipped icon appears before the writer's name in the Writer Status page. For example, while a item is in Approval status, an administrator sets the document as approved before an assigned approver accepts, revises, or declines. The document/assessment moves to Pending or Published status, and the Skipped icon appears before the approver's name in the Approval Status page. |
Indicates the assigned writer, reviewer, or approver has not yet received the task assignment. For example, you are looking at an approver in the Approver Status page while the item is still in Draft. |
Indicates the assigned writer, reviewer, or approver received a task assignment but was subsequently unassigned before completing the task. For example, while a document is in Approval and all approvers have received their task notifications, the document owner edits the item's Properties Wizard and removes one of the assigned approvers. |
Indicates the writer, reviewer, or approver is on leave of absence and the user's task status is set to excluded. |
