Making Changes to a Master Document

While a master document is in draft or collaboration phase, as the document owner you can edit the master document as you would any other document. See Editing a Draft Document for detailed instructions on editing document content, the questionnaire, and the standard Properties Wizard steps. For instructions on editing the Localization Workflow step, see Accessing Localized Copies from within the Master Document.

Once a master document is approved and moved to pending or published phase, you are limited to editing Properties Wizard settings. If you add, change, or delete a localized copy in an approved document, the affected copies' assigned document owners are immediately notified. Also, if you add a localization copy, that copy is immediately created and placed in draft phase, because the master document has already been approved.
